1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or otherwise using the MLS Knowledge Platform ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. What the Platform is, and isn't
The Platform provides examination preparation content, structured lessons, practice questions, quick-reference material, and curated links to external publications and professional opportunities (scholarships, grants, conferences) for Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) students and professionals.
The Platform is educational, not authoritative or diagnostic. Lessons, practice questions, and quick-reference entries are original study aids written from general domain knowledge and cited sources. They are not a substitute for your licensing board's official syllabus, past papers, or examination guidance, and nothing on the Platform constitutes medical, diagnostic, or clinical advice. Completing content on the Platform is not a guarantee of examination success or professional competency.
In Kenya, registration and licensing of medical laboratory technicians and technologists is governed by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB), established under "the Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Act" (Cap. 253A, Laws of Kenya; Act No. 10 of 1999). This Platform is an independent study resource. It is not produced, operated, or endorsed by KMLTTB or any other licensing board, and nothing here should be treated as an official statement of any board's syllabus, requirements, or examination content. For authoritative guidance, consult KMLTTB directly.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential.
- You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that we reasonably believe are used fraudulently, or that are inactive for an extended period.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically republish the Platform's content.
- Share your account credentials or resell/redistribute access to paid or restricted content.
- Upload or submit content (via support tickets or elsewhere) that is unlawful, infringing, or knowingly false.
- Attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, or authentication.
- Use the Platform to submit fabricated or plagiarized material for review or publication.
5. Content and intellectual property
Lessons, quick-reference entries, and practice questions authored for the Platform are either original work or drawn from openly licensed or public-domain sources, each with source and licensing metadata recorded against it. We do not knowingly host unlicensed textbooks, past papers, standards documents, or copyrighted images.
Publications and opportunities (scholarships, grants, conferences) are curated third-party content: titles, abstracts, and metadata link out to the original source (e.g. PubMed, the issuing organization). We don't claim ownership of that third-party content, and you should verify deadlines and eligibility directly with the issuing organization before relying on anything shown here.
You retain ownership of anything you submit (support tickets, feedback). By submitting it, you give us permission to use it to operate and improve the Platform, for example by reviewing a reported question error and correcting the underlying content.
6. Third-party links
The Platform links to external sites (journals, publishers, scholarship/grant/conference pages) that we don't control. We try to keep opportunity listings verified and current, but we're not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of external sites. Always confirm deadlines and terms on the official page before applying or submitting anything.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including exam outcomes, missed deadlines, or reliance on third-party content linked from the Platform.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above; continued use of the Platform after a change means you accept the revised terms.
9. Governing law
[Placeholder: the operating entity and governing jurisdiction for these terms have not been finalized. Update this section with the correct legal entity name and jurisdiction before treating this document as binding.]
10. Contact
